17,4 MW in Construction
Our in construction projects are spread throughout Indonesia. During project constructions, we strive for zero accident, pay attention to detail, ensure the community development, ensure environment sustainability and finally perfect project executions.
Tomasa MHPP is located at Central Sulawesi Province. In terms of average annual rainfall, Central Sulawesi has one of the highest numbers nation wide. From a 4.51 m³/sec of water discharge and 258 m of net head we obtain a 2 x 5 MW power output for the Power Plant.
Diversion weir elevation is 590 meters above sea level, it diverts water to the intake then the desedimentation basin. The Open channel is 3023 meters long to convey the water from the desedimentation basin to the forebay tank. From there, the water is conveyed to the turbine by means of a 2.1 kilometer long penstock. Although the penstock length is relatively long which usually give us waterhammer problems but since we use Pelton turbines, those problems shall not occur in the penstock.
The community development we give to the local village is significantly large during construction and post construction. One of our planning for the community development is improve the education facility in the village where currently it does not have Junior level High school within 20 km radius with no road conditions. The projects is planned to be commissioned in 2016.
Cikopo II MHPP is our first project as an IPP company. Only 7 hours away from Indonesian Capital Jakarta, Cikopo II Project located in the Province of West Java. Majority of CIkopo MHPP catchment area are protected forest, which will give us more stable discharge throughout the year. The installed capacity of the plant is 7.4 MW coming from a 3.2 m³/sec of discharge and 264 meters net head.
The elevation of the diversion weir is 1,154.5 meters above sea level. The diverted water then channeled along an open canal for 1,520 meters to a forebay tank before entering 960 metres long Penstock and finally into two units of Vertical Shaft Pelton Turibines.
Wasserkraft Volk AG, one of the leading Turbine and Generators company in Germany, manufactures the turbines and the generating equipments for Cikopo II Project. The generated electricity is then conveyed to the local medium voltage electricity network 3 kilometers away. The project is planned to be commissioned in 2015.
